Unit 10 summary

1.        My personal evaluation scores as compared to Unit 3 have changed slightly.  Honestly, it has not been enough time for my physiological score to change much.  Spiritually, I would rate myself about the same as before as well.  Psychologically is where the improvement has taken place.  I can honestly say that my psychological evaluation score has gone up a notch.  Even though I have been very upfront that I did not like most of the exercises, a few of them hit home.  I believe that now I am a calmer and more focuses person.
2.       I have definitely set lofty goals.  I have not even come close to achieving them but I have started the journey.  My exercise has increased and I do meditate (believe it or not).  Whether or not I achieve the goals remains to be seen.  I plan to enjoy the ride.
3.       I have implemented exercise, meditation and increasing my spiritual awareness.  This is a daily routine.
4.       The whole class has been rewarding.  It has also been challenging.  As I stated, I have made no bones about the visualizations being challenging.  I do believe that every aspect of this class will help me be a better person and professional.   If nothing else, it has broadened my thoughts and horizons.

  1. Mack, I would say we all have improved on the rating scale - knowingly or not. Alone the fact that we work on these things might not change a lot in 7 or 6 weeks, but it definitely sets a totally different focus or approach in motion. Awareness is sometimes the only thing we got - but it is sometimes also the only thing that will help us in any given moment. I think you were a great sport about the visualizations, and that makes you a winner already! Openness to new things, new thoughts is as important as having new thoughts or experiencing new things.
    I wish you luck with all you plan to achieve, be it for yourself or others! I believe we can do whatever we set our minds to....Thanks for being such a reliable and knowledgable classmate!

  2. Hi Mack, I think just seeing small changes in ourselves in a 10 week period is great. We have been given the tools to become better people, and it will be interesting to see who uses them, and who goes about their life as before. Too bad we couldn't check back on each other in say a year, and see how we have all improved physically, psychologically, and spiritually. I am really hoping that I can stick with my exercises, and continue to move closer to achieving integral health. It will be a long journey, but I believe we can all achieve our goals if we can make the committment to ourselves to do so. It has been a pleasure sharing another class with you. Best of luck with your future.

    The fact that you know that you showed improvement on the personal evaluation score from unit 3 to present that all that matters. I am glad that you are enjoying the meditation. I have enjoyed reading your post and I wish you luck.

  4. We all sometimes set lofty goals but the key to goals are to aim higher than we are. I have come to realize that if you are able to accomplish half of what you are trying to achieve then you are doing good if you do it all then wonderful. But whatever you are able to do that is good enough.

I think sometimes just the journey of the class can often provide us with a different perspective on how we now look at ourselves vs. how we used to, regardless of any meditation or self-awareness practices we practice. You made progress and that is what matters the most; something tangible is so very wonderful and I wish you much luck and success in the future.
